The WAGGLE Why

Honeybees perform a dance – called WAGGLE – to lead their hive mates to know where the best source of nectar can be found.  Rebecca wants her company, WAGGLE, to become for single women, ages 50 and older, the best source for finding their retirement wisdom.  

While preparing for retirement as a single woman, Rebecca attended countless seminars on retirement planning.  She felt the sting of being left out of the conversations as every planner put forth their prized plans with only couples in mind.  She would raise her hand and ask  “what would be the plan for a single woman”?  The answer of “not sure” would come from an unprepared presenter; resulting in her becoming even more bewildered and frustrated.  It became clear that for women ages 50 and older, a better approach was needed to help prepare for and to help navigate through one of the most important phases of life – Retirement.  

As Rebecca pursued her idea more, it became clear that this group of women is significant in size and are often facing major life events with financial impact.  Many times they are in a “caretaking” role for children, grandchildren, parents or a combination of all three.  Additionally, they are juggling many other activities and commitments.  So, they often do not have the time to focus on all the financial complexities that come with preparing for retirement and maneuvering through retirement choices and decisions.  So, they need help and clarity in some form.
